1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ARKOL AI Legal Advisor ("the Service"), operated by ARKOL ("ARKOL", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ARKOL AI Legal Advisor is an AI-powered information service that allows users to purchase WhatsApp AI Chat minutes and chat with an AI assistant over WhatsApp to obtain general legal and tax information, in multiple Indian languages. The Service may also allow users to upload documents to add context to their questions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to use the Service.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features, you will need to register using your mobile number and verify your WhatsApp number via a one-time OTP sent to WhatsApp. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access and for all activity that occurs through your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

5. WhatsApp AI Chat Minutes and Usage

WhatsApp AI Chat minutes are purchased in advance and do not expire on their own. Once you send START on WhatsApp from your verified number, your session timer begins and runs continuously in real time until your allocated minutes are used — it cannot be paused, stopped, or reset. If you purchase additional minutes before starting a session, they are added to your available balance; if you purchase additional minutes while a session is already active, they are added directly to that session's remaining time without resetting the timer already in progress. 6. Pricing and Payments

Current pricing is displayed on our Pricing page and is subject to change. Applicable taxes, if any, will be shown at checkout. Payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway; ARKOL does not store your full payment card or banking credentials.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable law; upload documents you do not have the right to share; attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service; misuse the Service to harass, defraud, or impersonate others; or attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying AI models or systems.

8. AI-Generated Information

Responses provided by ARKOL AI are generated using artificial intelligence and automated processing of the information available to it. AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions, or outdated content, and should not be treated as a final or authoritative source.

9. Legal and Tax Information Limitations

The information provided through the Service is general in nature and for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, tax advice, or any other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified advocate, chartered accountant, tax professional, or appropriate government authority.

10. No Advocate-Client Relationship

Use of the Service does not create an advocate-client relationship, a professional engagement, or any fiduciary relationship between you and ARKOL, its owners, or any individual associated with ARKOL.

11. No Guarantee of Outcomes

ARKOL does not guarantee any particular outcome, result, interpretation, or decision — including but not limited to court decisions, government actions, tax assessments, or the resolution of any legal or tax matter — based on information provided through the Service.

12. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for decisions and actions you take based on information obtained through the Service. For important, urgent, high-value, or case-specific matters, you should consult a qualified professional before taking action.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including, without limitation, AI/LLM processing providers, WhatsApp/Meta's messaging platform, payment gateways, and Telegram). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of these third-party services.

15. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and materials that make up the Service (excluding content you provide) are the property of ARKOL or its licensors and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without prior written permission.

16. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity. Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to notify you of the reason.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ARKOL and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated information. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to ARKOL in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
