ARKOL is a technology company based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, building software products that make everyday information more accessible. Our product, ARKOL AI Legal Advisor, is an AI-powered WhatsApp chat assistant that helps people in India get general legal and tax information in their own language, over a simple WhatsApp chat.

What we do

ARKOL AI Legal Advisor combines conversational AI with legal and tax knowledge to answer common questions — from understanding a notice you've received, to general procedural questions, to plain-language explanations of legal and tax concepts. It's built for people who want quick, understandable information without having to navigate complex websites, forms, or long wait times, in a language they're comfortable typing in.

Users purchase WhatsApp AI Chat minutes in advance and send START on WhatsApp to begin a session, with the option to upload relevant documents so the AI has more context for their specific matter.

Our approach

We're building ARKOL AI Legal Advisor with a few simple principles in mind: keep the experience simple enough to use over WhatsApp chat, support the languages people actually speak at home, and be upfront about what an AI assistant can and cannot do.
